Designed by Renzo Piano, the new control tower will replace the one destroyed in the 2013 incident. The structure is a steel and glass platform at a height of 70 meters, located at the edge of Genoa Trade Fair dockyard. It is supported by two steel and concrete columns inside of which there are staircases and lifts.
